In the wake of Chattanooga shootings, Tomi Lahren has criticized President Obama for “half-way, half-baked, tip-toe, be-friendly-to-jihadis mentality.” Tomi represents the One American News Network as an anchor. The outburst was probably to highlight the President’s understanding in addressing the issue.

Is this still an act carried out by a disturbed mind or has it been an organized crime against humanity? If one calls this a planned action, rather than an act committed in the heat of the moment how justified is it to term the incident as just another act of violence. What stops us from terming it as an act of terrorism?

Mohammad Abdulazeez, the 24 year old accused is being referred to as a devout Muslim. This is perplexing, if he is devout enough then who is not? The ones who are not killing? Now how do we define a civil thinking that can combat such acts?

Do we need more of violence to think in an un-civilized manner?

Civil society maintaining a low profile may reflect a soft corner towards such cowardly acts. However we all need the interventions from civil society and not Gods to transform things, may be! Probably now is the time that debate should stop!
